Volleyball Recap: Reagan Raiders vs. West Forsyth Titans
Reagan proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the West Forsyth Titans 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since September 13th.
Reagan wouldn't go down easily and took West Forsyth into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-21, 25-11, 11-25, 15-9.
Elly Randolph paced Reagan's offense, picking up 29 kills. Randolph got some help from Callie Largent and her 25 assists. Randolph was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Despite the defeat, West Forsyth had strong showings from Anna Hege, who had eight digs and two aces, and Aurora Rosa, who had 21 digs and 15 kills. Hege is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.
