Volleyball Recap: Oswego East Takes a Loss

Oswego East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Joliet West Tigers. The Wolves were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

While Oswego East was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 30-28.

Tyler Vlcek paced Oswego East's offense, picking up 20 kills. Vlcek got some help from Max Coleman and his 25 assists.

Oswego East's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Joliet West, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Oswego East is set to face off against their familiar foe Plainfield East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Joliet West will challenge rival Joliet Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
