Soccer Game Preview: St. Edward vs. Proviso East

The St. Edward Green Wave will take on the Proviso East Pirates at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. St. Edward will be strutting in after a victory while Proviso East will be coming in after a defeat.

St. Edward is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Chicago Hope Academy get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Wednesday. Joslyn Hidalgo was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Proviso East lost 5-1 to Berwyn/Cicero Morton on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for Proviso East in their meetings with Berwyn/Cicero Morton: they've now lost nine in a row.

Proviso East's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for St. Edward, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.
