Baseball Recap: Carteret Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Carteret, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the North Plainfield Canucks by a score of 4-1 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Ramblers: when they faced off against the Canucks last Friday, they had to take a 4-3 defeat.

Luis Hernandez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Joniel Martinez, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Drexler Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Carteret pushed their record up to 2-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
