Bethel Park took care of business in their home opener on Friday (barely). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Baldwin Highlanders. That's more bragging rights for Bethel Park, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
For Baldwin's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Herrington, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Baldwin's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Bethel Park will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Thomas Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on April 3rd. As for Baldwin, they will be playing at home against Seneca Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
