Baseball Recap: Windom Takes a Loss

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Windom was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 12-2 to the Luverne Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 back in April.

Windom saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quintin Tietz, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Windom's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Luverne, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windom will head out to face off against Martin County West at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Luverne, they will venture away from home to square off against Sleepy Eye at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
