Tri-Village barely beat Ansonia the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Patriots put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Gabby Kirby paced Tri-Village's offense, picking up 23 kills. Kirby got some help from Zoe Ayette and her 26 assists. Finally, Kirby was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Tri-Village's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Ansonia, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Coming up, Tri-Village will take on West Liberty-Salem at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Ansonia, they are taking a road trip to face off against Houston at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
