Soccer Recap: Shorecrest Prep Comes Up Short

Shorecrest Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the George Jenkins Eagles, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Eagles are ranked 47th).

Shorecrest Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5-2. As for George Jenkins, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0-2.

Shorecrest Prep will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Calvary Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for George Jenkins, they will square off against Victory Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Victory Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.6 goals per game this season.
