Ayala is a perfect 10-0 against Claremont since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bulldogs will host the Wolfpack at 3:30 p.m. Ayala is coming into the game hot, having won their last 12 games.
Ayala came out on top against Diamond Bar on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run first inning. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Brahmas with a sharp 14-1 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.
Lilanna Acosta made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple.

In other batting news, Ayala got a massive performance out of Taelor Walker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Walker has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Isol Lopez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Ayala kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matches.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Claremont and Glendora, and Glendora kept the tradition alive. The Wolfpack came up short against the Tartans on Tuesday, falling 7-1. The loss continues a trend for the Wolfpack in their meetings with the Tartans: they've now lost three in a row.
Ayala pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Claremont, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.
Everything went Ayala's way against Claremont when the teams last played last Monday, as Ayala made off with an 11-0 victory. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Wolfpack have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
