Grand Traverse Academy is a perfect 4-0 against Marion since October of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 9:05 a.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Marion is facing Grand Traverse Academy at the wrong time: Grand Traverse Academy suffered their first home loss of the season on Thursday and they're likely out for redemption. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons.

Grand Traverse Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-22.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Claire Dennis, who had seven digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Shania Paul, who had 12 digs.

Meanwhile, Marion came up short against Mesick on Thursday and fell 2-0.

Grand Traverse Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Grand Traverse Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Marion in their previous meeting on September 11th, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
