Softball Recap: Kingston Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Mason on Thursday, Kingston came back down to earth. The Buccaneers fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Buccaneers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 15-5.

Kingston's loss dropped their record down to 9-7-1. As for North Mason, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Kingston will challenge rival Olympic at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, North Mason is set to take on their familiar foe Bainbridge at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Bulldogs' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Spartans have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
