Basketball Recap: Sheridan Takes Down Campbell County in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Sheridan had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 48-38 victory over the Campbell County Camels on Saturday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 50-38 victory two weeks ago.

Campbell County's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauren Kuhbacher, who posted 11 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Kuhbacher is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaylie Neary, who put up 11 points.

Sheridan is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Campbell County and nudges their season record down to 12-11.

Sheridan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Campbell County, they will be taking part in a tournament against Green River at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Green River will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Campbell County surely won't give up without a fight.
