Basketball Game Preview: Murtaugh Red Devils vs. Mackay Miners

Having just played yesterday, the Murtaugh Red Devils will jump right back in to play the Mackay Miners at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Murtaugh had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 35-point drubbing they dealt Dietrich on Friday. The Red Devils blew past the Blue Devils 62-27. The Red Devils not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since January 22nd (when they won 60-24).

Meanwhile, Mackay strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 53-52 W against Victory Charter.

Murtaugh now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mackay, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Everything came up roses for Murtaugh against Mackay in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, as the team secured a 51-20 victory. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Miners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
