Tuscumbia triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Benley Boggs

Recap: Tuscumbia Lions vs. Richland Bears
After losing to the Richland Bears the last time they met, the Tuscumbia Lions decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Tuscumbia enjoyed a cozy 61-45 win over Richland on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Tuscumbia.
Benley Boggs was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with 8 rebounds. The matchup was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Damon Whittle, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds.
The victory got Tuscumbia back to even at 3-3. As for Richland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Tuscumbia will be playing in front of their home fans against Jamestown at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Jamestown is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Richland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
