Volleyball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Independence Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21, 25-13.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Independence, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 16-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Centennial will square off against rival Brentwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Independence is set to take on their familiar foe Franklin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
