Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Ethan Kester. The Bobcats strolled past the Elkhorn Valley Falcons with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 24-6 with plenty of help from Kester, who rushed for 112 yards and two scores. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 112 rushing yards.

One reason for the win was Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]'s imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Preston Watson was especially locked on to Elkhorn Valley's QB and sacked him 2.5 times. Thanks to that big game, Watson is now up to 5.5 sacks on the season.

Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]'s win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Elkhorn Valley, they dropped their record down to 4-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] will challenge Wausa/Osmond at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elkhorn Valley, they will venture away from home to face off against Dundy County-Stratton at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
