Softball Recap: Benilde-St. Margaret's Comes Up Short

If Benilde-St. Margaret was feeling good fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Waconia on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Knights came up short against the Jefferson Jaguars on Wednesday, falling 10-2. The loss continues a trend for the Red Knights in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost three in a row.

Benilde-St. Margaret's saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elle Porisch, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Benilde-St. Margaret's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Jefferson, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Benilde-St. Margaret's will challenge New Prague at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jefferson, they will square off against Academy of Holy Angels at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
