Preview: Nanih Waiya Warriors vs. Lamar Raiders
Having just played yesterday, the Nanih Waiya Warriors will jump right back in to play the Lamar Raiders at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Nanih Waiya is ranked 209th, while Lamar is ranked 216th).
On Wednesday, Nanih Waiya was the victim of a tough 60-38 defeat at the hands of Morton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Nanih Waiya has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Lamar's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 49-37 to Starkville Academy.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jonathan Hart, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zion Huggins, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Nanih Waiya now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Lamar, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
