Baseball Recap: Martin Comes Up Short

Martin managed to slip by Barry County Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Clippers lost 14-6 to the Eagles on Friday. The Clippers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 8-7.

Martin has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Barry County Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 19-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Martin will head out to challenge Marcellus at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Clippers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season. As for Barry County Christian, they will face off against Kellogg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
