Basketball Recap: Kettle Falls' Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Kettle Falls needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Ella Johnson. The Kettle Falls Bulldogs managed a 35-30 win over the Medical Lake Cardinals on Saturday thanks in part to Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 boards. The contest was her 13th in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Cambria Thivierge, who posted two points and three steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in January.

Despite the defeat, Medical Lake had strong showings from Jocee Bryant, who had eight points and seven rebounds, and Addison Hammel, who put up six points in addition to 11 rebounds and four steals.

The victory got Kettle Falls back to even at 4-4. As for Medical Lake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Kettle Falls and East Valley will round out the year against one another at at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. As for Medical Lake, they will challenge Priest River at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Priest River's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so Medical Lake's offense will have their work cut out for them.
