Preview: Sammamish vs. Bellingham
On Friday Sammamish take on Bellingham at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps state rankings predict a close match.
It was all tied up at halftime, but Sammamish weren't quite Interlake's equal in the second half when they met last week. Sammamish were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 22-27 to Interlake. Sammamish gained 181.7 more yards than Interlake, but the latter made more effective use of their yardage.
Meanwhile, Bellingham might be aching after a bruising 14-40 defeat to Lakewood. This makes it the second loss in a row for Bellingham.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Sammamish caused 3 turnovers against Interlake, so Bellingham will need to take especially good care of the ball.
