Volleyball Recap: Butternut Has No Trouble Against Bayfield

Butternut not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 11th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bayfield Trollers. The victory continues a trend for the Midgets in their matchups with the Trollers: they've now won five in a row.

Butternut walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-19, 25-10, 25-17.

Their offense was headlined by Gianna Nahring and Alli Lueloff, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Lizzie Pritzl and her 11 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Butternut's victory bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Bayfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Butternut will face off against rival Drummond at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bayfield is set to square off against their familiar foe Mercer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
