Winters hasn't had much luck against Hamlin recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene a 59-0 shutout. The Blizzards' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Mark Moreno had a dynamite game, rushing for 100 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries, while also picking up 63 receiving yards and one touchdown. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Another player making a difference was Coy Martinez, who threw for 100 yards and two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Winters was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 274 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
