Volleyball Recap: Tuscola Takes a Loss

Tuscola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-9.

Tuscola's offense was headlined by Bella Wishard and Lilly Kurtz, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Sicily Moss and her six assists. Finally, Kurtz was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Warrensburg-Latham was led to victory by Drue Vallandingham and Delaneigh Garner. Vallandingham had eight digs and three aces, while Garner had nine digs and one assist. That's the most aces Vallandingham has posted over her last 15 contests.

Tuscola's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Warrensburg-Latham, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6.

Tuscola has already played their next matchup (against Heritage), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Warrensburg-Latham, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Greenview on the 29th.
