Baseball Recap: Van Buren Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Van Buren had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Fayetteville Bulldogs, falling 17-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pointers of the 14-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Van Buren saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Truett Cazzell, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

The win was the third in a row for Fayetteville, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Van Buren does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fayetteville, they will challenge Alma at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
