Baseball Game Preview: Dora Coyotes vs. Melrose Buffaloes

The Dora Coyotes will challenge the Melrose Buffaloes at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Dora has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with eight straight losses, while Melrose will come in with four straight wins.

Dora lost 13-1 to Gateway Christian on Friday.

Melrose played against Elida on Friday and won via forfeit.

For Melrose's part, they got a massive performance out of Cy Draper, who went 4-for-6 with six RBI, three doubles, and one run. Draper is becoming a predictor of the Buffaloes' success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Wesley Forgue, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Melrose's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Dora, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
