Softball Recap: Northland Prep Academy Wins Going Away Against Ash Fork/Seligman

Northland Prep Academy gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Ash Fork/Seligman 18-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for Northland Prep Academy.

Ryliegh LaFave made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. LaFave was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, Northland Prep Academy got a massive performance out of Audre Wilson, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave Wilson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isabel Stoffers, who went 4-for-5 with six RBI, one run, and one double.

Northland Prep Academy's record is now 2-0. As for Ash Fork/Seligman, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Northland Prep Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Hopi at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northland Prep Academy is facing Hopi at the right time seeing as Hopi is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ash Fork/Seligman, they will head out on the road to take on El Capitan at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
