Softball Recap: Spartanburg Takes a Loss

Spartanburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 20-1 to the James F. Byrnes Rebels. The match marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Spartanburg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for James F. Byrnes, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Spartanburg is set to challenge their familiar foe Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, James F. Byrnes will square off against rival Boiling Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
