Basketball Game Preview: Douglass Indians vs. Saltillo Lions

The Douglass Indians will venture away from home to face off against the Saltillo Lions at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Douglass will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Douglass picked up another tournament win on Friday. They managed a 50-45 victory over Hooks. The win was all the more spectacular given the Indians' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 319th, while the Hornets are ranked 112th).

Meanwhile, Saltillo suffered their biggest loss since November 14, 2023 on Thursday. They were dealt a 63-32 defeat at the hands of Broaddus. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Douglass' victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Saltillo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-5.
