Basketball Recap: Fordson Comes Up Short

Fordson lost against Stevenson back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Fordson Tractors lost 59-35 to the Stevenson Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Tractors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Spartans are ranked 115th).

Fordson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Stevenson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fordson will venture away from home to square off against Wayne Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wayne Memorial has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Stevenson has already played their next contest (against Churchill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
