Arickaree had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Manzanola Bobcats 52-25. The Bison not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 13th (when they won 64-25).

JACKSON CORDELL went supernova, shooting 48% from the field to rack up 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. AUSTIN WRIGHT was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine boards.

Arickaree smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Manzanola's loss came despite strong showings from Mark Holland and Ethan Rocha. Holland posted 12 points, while Rocha put up six points.

This is the second loss in a row for Manzanola and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Arickaree didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-24 loss against Las Animas on the 6th. As for Manzanola, they have also already played their next game, a 57-43 victory against Aguilar on the 6th.
