In what's become a running theme this season, Cherokee gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Phillips Bears an 11-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for Cherokee.
Carli Sparks made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Sparks was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in the last three games she's played.
