Volleyball Recap: Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran Takes a Loss

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Oshkosh North Spartans. The Blazers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Paige Loock and Kiley Dhein, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Olivia Kirchner and her 11 assists. Dhein also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sydney Steffel, each putting up three.

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Oshkosh North, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran is on the road again on Saturday to play Green Bay East at 11:00 a.m. As for Oshkosh North, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Laconia at 11:00 a.m. Laconia will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Oshkosh North surely won't give up without a fight.
