Basketball Recap: Seven Straight Home Victories for Oregon Episcopal

There's no place like home for Oregon Episcopal, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Portland Adventist Academy Cougars on Thursday, sneaking past 63-60. That's more bragging rights for the Aardvarks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Portland Adventist Academy still got an impressive performance from Dane Petersen, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and ten boards. Martin Villa was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Oregon Episcopal pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.1 points per game. As for Portland Adventist Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3.

Oregon Episcopal will venture away from home to square off against Horizon Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oregon Episcopal is facing Horizon Christian at the right time seeing as Horizon Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Portland Adventist Academy has already played their next contest, a 72-65 loss against Valley Catholic on the 20th.
