Fair Grove is a perfect 3-0 against Pierce City since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Pierce City took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Fair Grove, who comes in off a win.

Fair Grove is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over Ava on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Aubrie Voorhis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and not a single walk). Voorhis was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooke Daniels, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Addyson Nunley, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Fair Grove hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ava struck out nine times.

Meanwhile, Pierce City had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against Diamond, falling 16-0. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

The win got Fair Grove back to even at 2-2. As for Pierce City, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything went Fair Grove's way against Pierce City when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Fair Grove made off with a 14-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fair Grove since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
