Seligman has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge El Capitan/Centennial Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Seligman comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last 13 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Seligman suffered their biggest defeat since December 14, 2023 on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Williams, falling 72-17. Seligman has struggled against Williams recently, as their match on Thursday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, El Capitan/Centennial Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 56-52 to Milford.
Seligman's loss was their 18th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-17. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.5 points per game. As for El Capitan/Centennial Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-8 record this season.
Seligman took a serious blow against El Capitan/Centennial Academy in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 64-24.
