Volleyball Recap: Apache Junction Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Apache Junction was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Valley Christian Trojans, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-7, 25-6.

Ansley Venkatesh was nothing short of spectacular for Valley Christian: she had 28 assists and eight aces. Venkatesh has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 28 times she's played.

Apache Junction's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Valley Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Apache Junction is set to square off against their familiar foe Globe at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Valley Christian will challenge rival Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
