Basketball Recap: Fenwick Skates Past Amundsen with Ease

Fenwick's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 52-22 win over the Amundsen Vikings. Given the Friars' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the Vikings are ranked 354th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory snapped Fenwick's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-12 record. As for Amundsen, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Fenwick didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-53 loss against Aurora Central Catholic on the 20th. As for Amundsen, they will venture away from home to square off against Whitney Young at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
