Basketball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside was the 61-52 winner over Arabia Mountain when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Lakeside Vikings had to suffer through a 64-33 loss at the hands of the Arabia Mountain Rams. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Arabia Mountain found their leader in sophomore Sha'Nya Heath, who went 11-for-17 on her way to 28 points in addition to eight assists and seven rebounds. Heath's afternoon made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Billingsley, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 13 boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Lakeside and nudges their season record down to 13-11. As for Arabia Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 18-9.

As of now, neither Lakeside nor Arabia Mountain have any future games scheduled.
