Basketball Recap: ALA - Queen Creek Drops Season-High Score on Yuma

ALA - Queen Creek scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 66-41 to the Yuma Criminals. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

ALA - Queen Creek's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shante Butler, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards. Those 11 points gave Butler a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brailyn Clouse, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, ALA - Queen Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Legend Redmond had an outrageously good game for Yuma as she dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 steals. Redmond is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Bonnie Amador was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten steals.

ALA - Queen Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Yuma, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.

ALA - Queen Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 102-6 loss against Mesquite on the 16th. As for Yuma, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-43 win against Coronado on the 13th.
