Baseball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Comes Up Short

The Calvary Christian Academy Eagles didn't have quite enough to beat the Dwyer Panthers on Wednesday and fell 9-8. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blake Sundberg was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Salvador Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Calvary Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-8-3. As for Dwyer, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian Academy will host Taravella at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dwyer, they will face off against Spanish River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
