Basketball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Clinton lost against Rural Special back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Clinton Yellowjackets fell 59-52 to the Rural Special Rebels. That's two games in a row now that the Yellowjackets have lost by exactly seven points.

This is the second loss in a row for Clinton and nudges their season record down to 10-15. As for Rural Special, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-5.

Looking ahead, Clinton will welcome Quitman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Quitman will roll in looking for their 28th straight victory, something Clinton surely won't give up without a fight. Rural Special does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
