Basketball Recap: Stratford Takes a Loss

Stratford fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against KIPP Nashville Collegiate on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the KIPP Nashville Collegiate Warriors 50-44. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the loss, Stratford still got an impressive performance from Anthony Merrell, who posted 14 points.

Stratford's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for KIPP Nashville Collegiate, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10.

Stratford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-40 win against Stem Preparatory Academy on the 17th. As for KIPP Nashville Collegiate, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-41 victory against Fairview on the 15th.
