Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Lemon Bay

Lemon Bay extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 7-4. Everything went their way against the Manatee Hurricanes as they made off with an 11-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Manta Rays, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Kaydence Strauser looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Cassidy Silvia was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Bella Goff, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI and one double.

Lemon Bay was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .410. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

As for Manatee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Manatee's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elizabeth Morgan, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lemon Bay will challenge Cape Coral at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Manta Rays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Seahawks have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Manatee, they will square off against Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
