Basketball Game Preview: Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers vs. Wall Eagles

The Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers are taking a road trip to take on the Wall Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Lead-Deadwood is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Hill City just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. The game between them and the Rangers didn't end well, with Lead-Deadwood falling 70-52.

Meanwhile, Wall waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Cubs, posting a 67-35 win. 67 seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Wall's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Lead-Deadwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Lead-Deadwood might still be hurting after the 75-50 loss they got from Wall in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Lead-Deadwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
