Basketball Recap: Leadore Takes a Loss

Leadore played a tough contest on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Challis Vikings and fell 61-32. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the loss, Leadore still got an impressive performance from Dane Piippo, who posted nine points in addition to seven rebounds and four blocks. Piippo is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jared Ramsey, who put up six points and six boards.

Challis' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brayden Ollar led the charge by going 7 of 17 to rack up 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Jacen Farr was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Leadore's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Challis, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Leadore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Challis, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-42 victory against Taylor's Crossing on the 6th.
