Football Game Preview: North Platte Bulldogs vs. Lincoln Southeast Knights

The North Platte Bulldogs will take on the Lincoln Southeast Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

North Platte is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Benson, posting a 54-0 victory. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Bunnies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

North Platte didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Sam Uehling and Tyler Haneborg.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lincoln Southeast, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They breezed past Lincoln High to the tune of 57-0 on Friday. That looming 57-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.

North Platte better keep an eye on Brecken Bokowski. He was instrumental in Lincoln Southeast's win, rushing for 77 yards and three scores. DaThayedius Hartshorn-Harvey was another key player, rushing for 56 yards and one touchdown.

Lincoln Southeast was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 324 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

North Platte's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Lincoln Southeast, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

North Platte came up short against Lincoln Southeast in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 35-28. Thankfully for the Bulldogs, Cash Buettenback (who rushed for 175 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.2 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
