Volleyball Recap: Buena Gets the Win

Buena's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Pueblo Warriors by a score of 3-1. For the Colts, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2022.

Buena walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 21-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Roddick Alvarez paced Buena's offense, picking up 11 kills. Alvarez got some help from Kade Spilsbury and his 25 assists. Alvarez was also solid from the service line: he led the team with seven aces.

The victory got Buena back to even at 2-2. As for Pueblo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Buena didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Mountain View on the 25th. As for Pueblo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Mesa on the 21st.
