After a string of five wins, Mumford's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Renaissance Phoenix. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Mumford's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Renaissance, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 20 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4-4 record this season.

Mumford will challenge King at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Renaissance, they will head out on the road to square off against Academy of the Americas at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
