Softball Recap: Leonia Comes Up Short

Leonia lost to Rutherford back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions fell 7-2 to the Bulldogs.

Leonia now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for Rutherford, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-8 record.

Coming up, Leonia will head out to face off against Butler at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Rutherford, they will welcome Waldwick at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
